Isabelle & Alexis
A few years ago, a photo contest on the topic “Paris, je t’aime”, was saving the beginning of Blossom series. The artistic worlds of Isabelle Chapuis and Alexis Pichot came together and they had this amazing idea to detonate a pink pigmented bomb, spreading it in the air of Paris, as to symbolise love. Blossom is the name that they gave to their colourful cloud that inhabits various emotionally charged spaces, chosen by the pair during their many travels. While Isabelle brings her high sensibility to colour and materials, Alexis’ contribution is more focused on his unique capacity for space architectural analysis.
Then, this creative collaboration stretched out to every corner of the globe. The places discovered during the photographers’ travels together became a theater of improvised staging, where the artistic impulse is as close to nature as possible. From Morocco to the US and Turkey to Norway, on each picture, they captured their ephemeral intervention in different enigmatical spaces, through colourful sceneries, in which an impressive cloud of colour comes alive.
According to Paris Palma art advisory Claire Alliot-Soto, the Blossom project also raises awareness on the interventions of mankindin the territory. If men are absent from these photographs, their imprit is suggested among these wild natural or abandonned landscapes; construction sites, minings, power plants, quarries, agricultural holdings, etc.
As many before and after them, brands such as Minelli, Eastpak brands or the institution “Le Grand Musée du Parfum à Paris”, Nikon realized their European TV campaign « Smokey dreams » collaborating with Isabelle&Alexis, using the Blossom series.

When the artistic worlds of Isabelle Chapuis and Alexis Pichot came together, they gave life to a photographic creation: Blossom series.
